A holistic-hair collective
Hair, taught as part of the whole person.
Curriculum, ethics, and quiet tools for the practitioners shaping the next generation of salon care.
What we are
Root Integrity Collective is a teaching practice and a community of independent salons. It exists because hair, for most of its history, has been taught in isolation — cut from anatomy, from the nervous system, from how a stylist’s body holds up over a thirty-year career.
The Collective puts those pieces back together. The curriculum is organized around the hour categories a cosmetology licensure board recognizes — theory, cutting, color, chemical, styling, extensions, business, and health & safety — and threaded with the subjects most programs skim past: anatomy and physiology, hair and scalp science, infection control, stylist health, salon hygiene, osteopathic awareness, and the business ethics that hold a salon together.
It is built carefully. Modules are short and low-stimulation, with rest cues and several ways of explaining the same idea, because the people learning here think in many different ways.
Three pillars
Curriculum
A full hour-tracked program: theory, cutting, color, chemical services, styling, extensions, business, and health & safety. Written for licensure, designed for human bodies.
Methodology
Neurodivergent-friendly pacing, osteopathic awareness, and an ethics of holistic practice. The how matters as much as the what.
Community
Independent salons that share the standards and the apprentice–to–master path. A collective, not a chain.
The methodology is the product. The app is the floor under it.
Rootegra
An iOS app for partner salons: licensure-hour tracking, the curriculum modules, and the everyday work of running a shop. Built to disappear into the practice.
